Sending customer statements via e-mail

You can now configure Counterpoint to allow users to send statements to A/R customers via e-mail. This feature allows you to offer your A/R customers the convenience of electronic statements while reducing your consumption of physical supplies, including printer paper and ink. This feature also helps you stay more connected with your customers by ensuring that you obtain their e-mail addresses for future communications.

Once you have configured the necessary settings, authorized users will see the E-mail button on the Statements report parameter form, alongside the Preview and Print buttons. Clicking this button sends each statement to the appropriate A/R customer, if the customer has a valid e-mail address and is set up to receive statements via e-mail, and then updates the Last Statement Date value for those customers.

Unlike other back office reports, you can only send a statement to the corresponding A/R customer and you cannot specify a different e-mail address than the one that is on file for each customer.

To use this feature, you must define a valid SMTP host name for your e-mail system or provider using the Management Console.
