Managing an Offline Ticket Entry system

Radiant Log Viewer

The Radiant Log Viewer is installed along with the NCR Counterpoint Management Console when you install the NCR Counterpoint utilities in an Offline Ticket Entry environment. This utility allows you to easily review the various logs of CPServices activity, without requiring you to open the individual log files.

To display the ClosedRadiant Log Viewer window, select Log Viewer from the Tools menu of the NCR Counterpoint Management Console window or select Start > Programs > NCR Counterpoint > Utilities > Radiant Log Viewer from your server or a workstation that is connected to your server.

Click the Start button to display all Rad Sync activity for the server and continually update the Log Viewer window with the newest log file entries as they are generated.

Click the Stop button to stop updating the Log Viewer window with the latest log file entries.

Click an individual log file entry to display the details of that message in the area at the bottom of the Log Viewer window.

You can filter the Log Viewer entries by Type, Severity, Module, Thread Id, and Application. You can also use the DateTimeRange fields to filter log entries to those that were generated during a particular date range.

All CPServices log file entries for Offline Ticket Entry activity are currently messages, so changing the Type option to something other than -No Filter- or Msg will display no log file entries.

Select an option from the Sort field to sort the log file entries by Date/Time in Ascending or Descending order.

Select an option from the Message Limit field to limit the number of log file entries that appear in the Log Viewer window.

To make them easier to identify, log entries that represent errors appear in red in the Log Viewer window.
