Toolbars
A toolbar is a row of buttons that appears along the top of a Counterpoint window. These buttons allow you to access the most commonly-used commands.
Counterpoint features three different toolbar formats, or schemes, each with its own layout. By default, all Counterpoint users are assigned the Simple toolbar scheme, which is illustrated below. This scheme features large buttons that are particularly useful with touchscreen monitors.
The buttons that appear on each toolbar depend on the particular window you are working with. The buttons illustrated below are common to many windows. Click each button in the illustration to learn about the corresponding action.
The Default toolbar scheme, which is illustrated below, includes more buttons than the Simple toolbar, as well as a series of pull-down menus.
The V7 toolbar scheme is designed to help Counterpoint V7 users become accustomed to NCR Counterpoint through a familiar interface. This scheme includes buttons and keyboard shortcuts that are used in Counterpoint V7.
You can choose your toolbar scheme on the User Interface tab of the User Preferences window.
